Road Ride Start Points

Minnehaha Park

Take Hiawatha Avenue (Highway 55) north from the airport or south from downtown Minneapolis to 46th Street. Turn east on 46th Street and go right on Minnehaha Avenue go south 1 block and park in the Dairy Queen parking lot on the right (get that Blizzard after the ride).

REI Roseville

Take Highway 36 west from St. Paul, or east from Interstate 35W. Take the Fairview Ave. exit and go north past Rosedale shopping center. Go left (west) on County B2. Follow B2 to the first stop sign. Continue through the intersection, then take an immediate right into the parking lot of the small strip mall on the NW corner. REI is at the north end of the strip mall.

Hwy 100 and 70th St.

Take Hwy 100 south from the Crosstown (Hwy 62), and exit at 70th, turn right and park at Especially for Children, which is on the immediate left.

Woodbury Sam's Club

94 East to CR-19/Woodbury Drive (Exit 251 -- approx 2.5 miles East of 494).Turn Right (South) on Woodbury Drive to Commerce Drive (approx 0.5 mile).Turn Right (West) on Commerce Drive and then a right into the Sam's club parking lot. Then Right into the corner of the parking lot closest to the corner of Woodbury Drive and Commerce Drive. Here is the route.

Theodore Wirth Park

Go South on Theodore Wirth Parkway from Highway 55 to Glenwood and turn left. Almost immeadiately you will turn left into the parking lot. Park at the Theodore Wirth Lake parking lot on Glenwood Avenue. Go to http://www.mocatrails.org/ for more information and trail conditions.

Lebanon Hills Park

From Highway 77 or 35E, take Cliff Road east to Johnny Cake Ridge Road. Turn right (south) and continue about 1/2 mile to the park entrance.

Terrace Oaks Park

Take Burnsville Parkway east from Highway 35W past County Road 11. The park is on your right. The mountain bike entrance is on Burnsville Parkway about 1/3 mile east of County Road 11. (Note that the west entrance is not open to mountain bikers.) There are signs that indicate where the trail is, along with maps.

Battle Creek Regional Park

Take Interstate 94 east out of downtown St. Paul to the Ruth Street exit. Turn right (south), then turn left at Upper Afton Road. Turn right at Winthrop Street and look for the park entrance on the right.

Minnesota River Bottoms Trail

There are several parking lots for this trail - the BBC typically meets at the Lyndale Ave. lot.

Take 35W south into Bloomington and exit at 106th Street. Head east to Lyndale Ave, take a right (south) and follow Lyndale to the parking lot at the end.

Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve

Take Highway 35W (or 35E) south to County Road 42 by Burnsville Center. Go west on 42 about two miles until you get to Burnsville Parkway, then turn left (south). Follow this road until it turns to the west. (There are signs saying that the road is closed for construction, but as of October 1995, it's passable.) This turns into Hanrehan Lake Blvd. Turn left on County Road 75 and the park will be on your left after the turn. Parking is $4 per day or $20 with the Hennepin Parks permit. The trail is only open August 15 through October 31.
